Getting to Sitges

Holiday Accomodation

We have a new three bedroom house furnished to a high standard.
The House  is located less than 10 minutes walk to the centre of Sitges and approximately 5 minutes o the nearest beach.

Also we can offer a three beedrom apartment recently arranged, in the same location.

About Sitges

Sitges is situated 36 kilometres to the south from Barcelona; its municipal area covers 43,67 square kilometres, where more than 20.000 inhabiatants are registered.

Sitges a fishermen´s village situated in the region Garraf, enjoys great beaches and one of the best tourist infrastructures in Spain. it is situated barely 15 minutes car ride from Barcelona airport linked by a frecuent 30 minute train ride or motorway.

A cosmopolitan town, Sitges has something to offer everyone from peace and tranquillity to a vibrant nightlife. For the keen tourist, Sitges has museums, countless restaurants and bars, a variety of shops and with its close proximity to Barcelona (Monserrat, Gaudi buildings and shopping) and other places of interest in Catalunya, the perfect central location.

For over a century Sitges has been chosen by writers, painters, intellectuals and artist as a home and inspiration for their work. its alluring landscape and cultural tradition make it appealling to artists from around the world.

Most of the centre of Sitges is still dominated by architecture of centuries past, most prominent of all, the church of "San Bartomeu i sta Tecla" on the sea front.

Fiestas & events

The full calendar of fiestas and activities leaves no time for boredom in sitges. Perhaps the most outstanding are: Sitges International Film Festival, Carnival (more than 3.000 people and 40 floats take part in the parades). The Veteran Car Rally (some eighty pre-20s vehicle drive around the town) Corpus Christi (thousands of carnations cover the streets with gorgeous romantic floral carpets) The Festa Major, (the annual town fiesta in which popular and folk dancing and breathtaking firework display make it one of the most outstanding in Catalonia) and the Grape Harvest (where the first pressed grapes of the year are trodden by participants in a competicion down by the beach.
